FOR THE 2026 OTTEWELL FARMERS’ MARKET SEASON

After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we will not be able to host the market for the 2026 season. EPCOR has scheduled significant sewer and drainage upgrades that will directly impact the community league parking lot where our market operates.
The work includes partial parking lot closures, alleyway infrastructure upgrades near St. Brendan School, and drainage construction along 93A Avenue.
These projects are expected to overlap with our market season and will substantially affect site access, vendor setup, customer parking, and overall safety.
Alternative options were explored, yet, these introduced additional accessibility challenges for patrons, vendors, and volunteers. While safety is a mandatory priority for all involved in the market, these locations do not provide anyone with the same standard of a farmers market when the market is held in our parking lot.
Given these circumstances, we believe it is in the best interest of our vendors, patrons, and volunteers to pause the market for one year.
Safety remains our top priority, and with the anticipated construction disruptions, we are unable to operate the market to the standard required for an approved farmers’ market.
